Mercedes ELV / ESL License

The Mercedes ELV / ESL License is a dedicated PolDiag software license that provides
professional access to Electronic Steering Lock systems in Mercedes-Benz vehicles with FBS3 security.
With the Mercedes ELV / ESL License, users can safely read, write, and process critical ELV data
using the PolDiag OBD Interface.

Hardware requirement: This license requires the
PolDiag OBD Interface. Without compatible OBD hardware,
ELV and ESL operations cannot be performed.

Guaranteed Functionality

• Reading, changing, and writing stored ELV / ESL data
• Unlocking damaged ELV units without opening or disassembly
• Reading and generating service keys for ELV / ESL systems
• Renewing or virginizing used ELV units (all supported types)
• Automatic ELV password generation for models 204, 207, and 212
• Reading and writing ELV emulator data
• Personalization and activation of ELV units
• Transport Protection (TP) erasing
• ELV read, write, and renew for W246 models with BGA or NEC chips via OBD

Additionally, this license supports professional ELV / ESL handling without unnecessary mechanical
intervention. As a result, users can complete steering lock repairs more efficiently while reducing
the risk of component damage. However, compatibility depends on vehicle configuration and system
state.
