Description
PolDiag BENZ IC6 LICENSE (Mileage Solution IC177)
The BENZ IC6 LICENSE is a dedicated PolDiag software license that allows professional users
to perform controlled mileage-related operations on Mercedes-Benz instrument clusters equipped
with a separate IC6 module. In this way, the BENZ IC6 LICENSE supports precise and reliable work
for users who already operate compatible PolDiag hardware.
PolDiag BENZ IC6 License
Hardware requirement: To use this license, users must operate a
PolDiag Programmer equipped with a power adapter and RH850 (MQB) cable.
Without this hardware configuration, the license cannot function correctly.
Operation method: Users perform operations in bench or in-circuit mode with required pin lifting.
Therefore, this procedure suits professional users who already have experience with cluster
disassembly and IC-level access.
Guaranteed Functionality
- Reads Mercedes instrument clusters equipped with IC6 (HU6)
- Provides direct access to locked Renesas 1403 MCU
- Allows decryption and adjustment of mileage data (IC177 calibration)
- Enables synchronization with EZS (no emulator required)
- Supports ASSYST service reset operations
Additionally, this license targets Mercedes digital clusters that use a separate IC6 counter module.
As a result, users can handle mileage data professionally while preserving the original data structure.
However, compatibility depends on the specific cluster hardware and software revision.
Supported Vehicle Platforms
- Mercedes-Benz platforms: W177, W205, W213, W247, W257
- Moreover, selected additional models equipped with HU6 digital clusters and IC6 modules
Vehicles equipped with IC8 modules (W223, W206) are NOT supported.
If users do not yet own compatible hardware, they can instead choose the complete PolDiag BENZ IC6 SET, which includes the required programmer and accessories.
For further technical background, users can review publicly available documentation covering
Mercedes-Benz instrument cluster generations and IC6 versus IC8 architecture.
